Step #1: Owning the Private Key

Anytime you feel like sending LTC into this paper wallet, simply scan the QR code of the LTC address. But don’t do this using your Private Key.

The private key is what you need to recover and spend your LTC at the time you are all ready. So make sure to store it in a safe place where it is not visible to anyone.

1. Loafwallet

Probably the easiest method to spend your Litecoin is via Loafwallet. This is the mobile wallet developed by the Litecoin Foundation.

  • Go to Menu-> Settings-> Start/Recover Another Wallet
  • Scan the QR code of your private key
  • That’s it!

Either you can keep your LTC there or send it to another LTC wallet. It may be imperative to spend the entire balance in your paper wallet, depending on how you generated your LTC.

2. QR Code Reader, then Import

This step is a little more complicated. You must first get a QR code reader. Anyone will do. Scan the QR code of your private key. Then download Electrum-LTC and import the paper wallet.

  • Click wallet-> Private keys->Sweep
  • Write down the private keys
  • Write down the LTC address you want to send it to in the “address” section below
  • Click “Sweep”

Your Litecoin tokens should appear in your Electrum wallet shortly.
