Some pressing issues arose recently with regard to the relation

Some pressing issues arose recently with regard to the relation between cryptocurrencies and the popular social media platform, Twitter. Word is that Ripple users and those who hold XRP coins have received multiple warning tweets instructing them to sell off their holdings and not invest in the coin anymore.
To justify the advise of not investing in the coin further, the anonymous warnings cite the development team’s departure for a new project, as the reason. This message has been sent to several accounts that hold XRP tokens.
One of the messages from a bot named ‘Jennifer Mayo’ reads as follows:
“Hey, I saw you follow XRP Twitter so I suppose you’re an XRP holder. If it’s correct, sell you XRP bag now. It’s been known the dev team had already abandoned the project for another one.”
Similar messages have been sent from other such bots under different names. Another text reads as follows:
Do you recently follow Ripple on Twitter? If you want to buy XRP it’s a big no-no. It’s been known the dev team had already abandoned the project for another one.
This entire incident is clearly an attempt to malign the XRP crypto. These messages were all sent from anti- XRP accounts with 0 followers, spreading fake rumors about the digital currency. above messages were sent to so many XRP. They were all sent to users who were dealing in XRP.
This is not the first time that XRP users have received messages from bots on Twitter. Previously they had received messages from bots, instructing them to invest in XRP since the price would eventually go up. Nobody really knows if the same group of people are behind these messages this time around.
The Ripple team has till now not released any official statement regarding this but the XRP Development Team has confidently stated tha these tweets are from several fake accounts.
