Blockchain being incorporated in various sectors across the world, is an indicator of how popular the technology is becoming with people. The industries are gradually realizing the immense potential that the technology has.
Recent example of blockchain being used in the education sector has emerged in the Russian Federation. The Russian Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Education and Science, (Rosobrnadzor) has announced that it will integrate blockchain technology in the main graduation examination of the country.
In Russia, the Unified State Exam (USE) is the only form of graduation examinations in schools and the main form of preliminary examinations in universities. Blockchain technology will be implemented in the USE from this year onwards.
Sergey Kravtsov, the head of the Federal Service, stated:
“We also talked about the use of blockchain technology in the USE, and this year this technology will be used in the USE, using new technologies of printing and scanning [of the exam].”
Just last week, BTC Wires has reported that Russia’s Ministry of Education and Science has introduced a platform based on blockchain technology which will track natural diamonds.
